STEPHEN HARPER - THE POLITICS OF WAR

This year alone, Canada has lost over 100,000 jobs, largely due to the adverse effects of NAFTA or the North American Free Trade Agreement. It's been the principal mechanism for enabling U.S. corporations to destroy Canada's social, political, and economic independence from the Bush administration’s political-military-industrial complex. The Liberal and Conservative governments were both instrumental in supporting and advancing this so-called "free trade".

There seems to be much uncertainty within the Canadian public and the media regarding why a federal election was called so early in the government's mandate. It's evident one of the main reasons Prime Minister Stephen Harper called this snap vote was to retain power for another five years before the economy as well as his popularity inevitably worsens.

This Conservative Mafioso now aims to further destroy the sovereignty and economic stability of the country under the North American Union (NAU), which will expand our borders and assimilate Canada with the U.S. and Mexico.

A statement Harper made in 1997 demonstrates how little regard he holds for the average Canadian. Speaking to an elitist crowd at The Council for National Policy he remarked, "If you're like all Americans, you know almost nothing except for your own country… which makes you probably knowledgeable about one more country than most Canadians".

If we lacked intellect about anything, it surely was how badly the Commandant and his gang of racketeers would malign and mismanage the nation’s affairs.

During the election campaign, we had to endure the Conservative's party propaganda like the TV ad showing Harper lounging in the proverbial cardigan sweater and big easy chair. Of course, the message he’s trying to convey is he’s just one of the boys -- no different than me and you. You don't need x-ray vision to see the wolf in sheep's clothing.

The reported million Canadians living in poverty couldn’t have been too impressed at the sight of the Chosen One and a few paid stooges blather on about what a wondrous country Canada is and how great a leader we're blessed with. They're either too busy wondering where their next meal is coming from or where they'll hang their hat for the night.

And I don’t imagine it was overly inspiring for relations of the dead and injured Canadian soldiers to listen to a disingenuous homage paid to the troops for their "sacrifice" to the nation.

Seeing as Afghanistan has never threatened Canada in any way -- and the illegal invasion of the country was built on a mountain of Bush administration lies and treachery -- just what sacrifice do you think he's referring to?

Was it for the interests of the global plutocrats whom he serves, or the arms industry who profit immensely from warfare and death?

Maybe Harper was alluding to the poppy production in Afghanistan which has increased 80% since the invasion five years ago and continues unabated. If you thought we went there with the plan to eradicate the crops, better think again. The UN reports that production increased by 300 tonnes in one year with Afghanistan now supplying over 90% of the world's heroin market.

If you connect the dots between the Bush administration, the military complex, the Afghan puppet regime and the pharmaceutical cartels, it's painfully obvious that it ain't a group of rebels or the lowly farmers raking in the billions from the sale of this illegal narcotic. It gives a whole new meaning to the term, "War on Drugs".

"Lest we forget", the Conservative War Machine goes on to preach. The only thing missing is the ominous sound of bagpipes. It seems that the government and the witless, corporate-controlled media have long forgotten about the thousands of innocent civilians killed or injured in this false flag operation erroneously labeled a war on terror.

No, we will never forget Mr. Harper how you conspired with the Bush regime to needlessly sacrifice the lives of Canadians, Americans and Afghans -- under the pretense of fighting a terrorist regime.

Nor will we forget your premeditated and vicious assault on Canadian citizens invested in income trusts. Harper started his election campaign with the promise he'd never allow retirement funds to be raided by taxing income trusts. Harper knew well in advance of his promise what the Telus and Bell syndicates were up to but lied shamelessly and desperately for your vote. How can a man who so vehemently took the Liberals to task for their boondoggle, commit the same indecency and then try and tell Canadians his actions are different? How stupid does this corrupt Neo-Con think Canadians are?

This was not just a broken promise or a bold face lie -- this was premeditated theft of Canadians’ life savings. Never forget who put his stamp of approval on income trusts to win the election, and then stole over $30 billion from the accounts of unit holders he swore to protect. Most were retirees who had invested for the monthly payout and couldn’t afford to lose 25% of their nest egg and still live decently. Harper stated that himself in a Oct 26, 2005 letter to the National Post and on national television.

Harper has stated publicly on numerous occasions of his intent to reduce the high level of criminal activity in Canada with his edict that "those who do the crime will do the time”. Someone should remind this Bildeberger that the most serious of all criminal offenses in Canada is 'high treason', punishable by life imprisonment. Contrary to the misconception some have, no one is above the law of the land -- regardless of the position or level of power they hold.

Don't believe the skewed statistics that indicate some forms of crime have abated. Anyone with a lick of sense can see it's of epidemic proportions in most major centres of the country, even though much of it goes unreported. One factor that helps law enforcement fudge the figures is when numerous crimes are committed by the same person, which in many instances number over a hundred. Often, they deceptively will only be noted as a single offense. 'Two years less a day' and 'conditional sentences', which equate to virtually no sentence or punishment at all, also serve to keep the total numbers in check.

Last election, Harper promised to dissolve the failed gun registry program that has cost taxpayers in excess of $2 billion dollars. The good news for the criminals was that they were exempt from registering by default. Of course, this was another pre-meditated lie cooked up by Harper’s handlers to sway the vote of the unsuspecting.

Daily, the media alarmists report of threats to our freedom from crazed insurgents, who for some bizarre unexplained reason, hate the freedoms we supposedly possess. Can you imagine anyone in this world not wanting freedom and independence? Even the crooks enjoy that privilege here in Canada.

The Conservatives would have Canadians believe that, like our US counter-parts, we live in a democratic [majority rule] society. Really? When was the last time, in this so-called democracy, Harper and his rat pack of incompetents petition the public's opinion on a major political issue -- despite the fact he has a minority government? Think hard now…

Did he ask voters if it was okay to send young men and women off to wage war with an unknown enemy? Has he informed the public of the establishment of a “North American Union” (NAU) with the US and Mexico -- under the guise of a safer and more prosperous North America? Did he ask taxpayers approval before graciously handing over $9 billion in corporate tax cuts to big business, with not a single penny being allotted to address the housing needs of the poor? Did he take a phone poll or issue a plebiscite on whether he could spend $300 million of our tax dollars on another election before his mandate was even over?

Democracy Watch has highlighted the 90 undemocratic and accountability loopholes in the
federal government system that ensure no matter what political party wins, the next federal government will be undemocratic and unaccountable in key ways.

"It is very insulting to voters that federal political parties have left a dozen undemocratic loopholes and flaws in Canada's federal election system for the past 141 years, and as a
result we are now holding Canada's 40th undemocratic federal election," said Duff Conacher, Coordinator of Democracy Watch. "Will the federal parties pledge to make the changes needed to ensure the next election will be democratic and will produce a democratic, accountable federal government? Until dozens of accountability loopholes are closed, any federal election will result in yet another dishonest, unethical, secretive, unrepresentative and wasteful federal government."

In addition to the election call very likely being illegal (given the new fixed election date law), the following undemocratic loopholes and flaws in Canada's federal election system continue to undermine the legitimacy of elections:

"Canada is a nation of minorities, and only the Government can defend them from some bullying majority". Former Prime Minister Paul Martin in a throne speech.

From this statement it's obvious who our leaders choose to listen to. (besides those with lots of money and influence) The Harper regime is no different for they know if the majority of Canadians had the opportunity to have their say on important political issues, most of the ones the ruling government supports would never see the light of day.

With today's technology, a voting system that is more accurate, cost-effective and virtually free from manipulation could be implemented over the phone or by computer. The voter would simply input a pre-selected pin number, their social insurance number and choose their candidate with a push of a digit or a click of a mouse. As simple and logical as this sounds, it's obviously not something the government would support as they know full well that a such a system would give the disenchanted who don't normally bother to vote, the impetus to do so.

And they wouldn't even have to miss a hockey game in the process.

"Support the troops" and you support a phony war on terror built on a mountain of lies that's killing thousands needlessly.

"Support the Troops". It's a rather meaningless phrase the government and military like to throw in the public's face to gain support for their illegal war. The implication is that if you if you don't support the troops, you're unpatriotic and lack appreciation for their valor and sacrifice to uphold freedom. As mentioned earlier in this post, one only has to follow the money trail to see that the soldier's selfless sacrifice is only benefiting the evil cartels. Of course, the troops are only doing what they're told, though an increasing number have resisted enlistment and further deployment since discovering the Afghanistan conflict is not about providing aid to the people there or benefiting the average Canadian.

Remember that throughout history and all the wars our soldiers have fought in, Canada has never been threatened by any of the nations it has waged conflict against. Remember too that it was western bankers like the Rockefellers and the Bush's family who helped provide aid to the Nazis.

Murder is one of the most heinous crimes known to man, yet it's justified if you kill on command.

If you don't see anything wrong with that picture, how about these?

#
1 on the U.S. government's most wanted "Dead or Alive" list used to be Osama bin Laden but it seems he's been long forgotten. These days the evil entity that society is indoctrinated to fear is called the “Taliban” or “al Qaeda“. The comparison between Orwell’s movie "1984" and the social engineering campaign that’s omni-present today is eerily similar. The fictional boogeyman back then was named "Goldstein", an image ever ingrained in the minds of those who were fixated on the “Global Terror” telecasts. Certainly, George Orwell was a true visionary of his era and would not be surprised by the actions of political leaders today.

As is the case today, the government and corporate media are complicit in convincing much of society that in order to overcome this fabricated sinister threat, they will have to revoke their own rights and liberties. In the end, the foolish sheople who give up their freedoms in the name of security will receive neither. Only tyranny and repression will result.

Michel Juneau, a former CSIS intelligence officer, has admitted that propaganda in the campaign of terror has been going on for some time and is intended to frighten Canadians into submission. Who would know better than CSIS?

Imagine for a moment that your city or neighbourhood is being invaded and bombed by another country's military. Would you go to no ends to protect what you perceived as a foreign attack on your family and homeland? And would you consider your actions to be that of a "terrorist" or "insurgent" -- or perhaps that of a "patriot" or "freedom fighter"?

Years ago, Russia attempted the same military maneuver as Canada -- and failed. But our fearless political and military leaders aren't going to 'cut and run' -- at least not while they're sitting comfortably behind an office chair, delivering their orders by email.

A few years ago during Canada's initial involvement in Afghanistan, Minister of Public Safety, Stockwell Day, stated that the Taliban had been defeated. I guess Stockboy gets his intel from the same source as the U.S. government. At any rate, who can trust a political lickspittle like Day, when he's so eager to condemn a Muslim for an alleged crime -- yet thinks nothing of brown-nosing Sikh militants in a parade where they openly celebrated the [known] terrorist bombing of an Air India flight.

It's clearly evident that the real threats to society are the ruling politicians and bureaucrats that control [out]law and [dis]order. When they grant the freedom to the criminal element to continue their assault on the innocent, they are the true sinister force that we must reckon with.

"The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out ... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable". ~ H.L.Mencken (1880 – 1956) - American journalist regarded as one of the most influential writers of the first half of the 20th century.
